Everyone envious of mine so Christmas sorted for middle son.
I bought 3, all in different designs, last year for my house which I let fairly frequently as a holiday let. Couldn't have been more pleased with the quality or the style. In December I saw Atlantic Blankets at the Christmas Market at Exeter Cathedral and bought 2 single blankets for another room. I later decided to order the Grey and Yellow Geometric blanket to the collection.
We bought these for our new (first) caravan. They are loved by everyone and the geometric stripe one is particularly eye catching. All very happy thank you and the hand written card that came with them is a nice touch.
Delivery swift, packaging beautiful. Nice touches of personalised cards and sea shells. Chocolate was ace. Candles burn evenly for good value. (more smells/aromas please ) The blankets I purchase are of recycled cotton and are simply amazing. The value is incredible for the quality of the product. I Purchased these due to duvets becoming too bulky too sweaty and cleaning regularly was becoming expensive . I bought from Atlantic blankets rather nervously initially after finding other brands (M&S, Whitney, etc.) were now under parr from historic purchases pre duvets. I now have three blankets for my bed and no duvet.! Two for autumn and another for additional winter warmth. Don't be fooled. These are as cosy as wool any day of the week, and can be gently washed in your machine regularly to ensure allergy easing. Dry them over the bannister, and then a quick few minutes on a low heat and they puff up a treat. My son has now ditched the duvets The wonderful green tropical fern blanket is a beach item for us. It gets used as a blanket for lying on, a towel for after a swim and a cosy camp fire / camper van . The sheepskins are just fab. Best ever and parable with any I have had over the years from those three times the price. (problem is our springer loves em too so its a fight at the bottom of the bed for a footwarmer or as a living room rug! ) The initial cost may be more than a duvet - but a much more expensive outlay of a goose down duvet, left me with a huge mass of unmanageable bulk, that was just not up to the job of cosy but not too hot or sweaty. I live in England not Scandinavia (origins of duvet or there abouts) and the weather and humidity here is not simply dry and cold in winter. So - as an investment, just try one if you're not sure.. My grandchild loves sleeping in theirs, his mum loves that she can wash them quickly if necessary when accidents occur, and return them to the bed same day - unlike a duvet - no more allergy itches - with compliments from all who spy the designs and colours to boot - you wont look back.
