Rather than simply removing plastic waste, their model connects plastic collection with social impact.
Local collectors gather discarded plastic from their communities and waterways before it can make its way into the ocean. The collected material is then exchanged for income and other forms of support, helping collectors provide for their families while improving the environment around them.
The plastic is subsequently recycled and given a new life within the circular economy.
